al-Biruni's mathematics from the Canon Casudicus document: a production of Comics
Alliance between History of Mathematics and Digital Technologies, Length of Earth's radius, al-Biruni, Comics, Educational Product.
This master's thesis culminates in the production of an Educational Product (EP) based on research that deals with the Alliance between the History of Mathematics (HM) and Digital Technologies (DT) via Comic Books (HQ), the aim of which is to answer the following question focus: What elements developed in the calculation of the length of the Earth by al-Biruni can be used in a proposal for an Alliance between the History of Mathematics and Digital Technologies via Comics? To assist with the focus question, the general objective is to carry out a historical-mathematical study on how the calculation of the measurement of the Earth's circumference calculated by al-Biruni was described through his writings in the Canon Masudicus document, in order to develop an Educational Product based on the Alliance established between the History of Mathematics and Digital Technologies. The research is supported by qualitative bibliographic and documentary research. The Educational Product consists of part of a didactic proposal with a digital comic that addresses the production of knowledge mentioned above and will be made available especially for teachers to take to the classroom.
