TEACHING OF PHYSIOLOGY INTEGRATED THROUGH A TECHNOLOGICAL TOOL: LIVING WITH STUDENTS AND TEACHERS OF BASIC EDUCATION
Teaching of integrated physiology, technological resource, basic education.
In the teaching of human physiology the contents are presented separating each of the physiological systems, in order to facilitate their understanding. However, it is observed that this fragmentation, reinforced by didactic books, can represent a barrier to understanding the internal mechanisms of the body, which together maintains the internal and dynamic balance compatible with the state of health. Therefore, there is a great difficulty on the part of the teachers to teach and on the part of the students in learning the contents related to the physiology. Thus, this research proposed to evaluate two courses on physiology offered to students and teachers of the basic education network in order to present a didactic sequence for the teaching of integrated physiology using a low-cost technological resource, SPIX (System of Processing of Electrophysiological Information). Among the difficulties presented was the theme about the nervous system, both among students and among teachers. In the end, we observed that the course directed to students of basic education was efficient in relation to the teaching of integrated physiology, a result observed through the cords and a research project developed by the students. In the course for teachers, it was observed that they were motivated and see the technological resource as an instrument with potential to be used in the classroom. In view of this analysis, we proposed a didactic sequence with an integrated approach to the concepts of physiology, which includes a manual for the use of SPIX, representing the educational product of this dissertation.
