Women's health; Postpartum period; Comprehensive health care; health technology
The period after childbirth is a stage in life where women experience intense bodily and emotional changes. Easily accessible and reliable information is important so that the newborn child's self-care and care behaviors are appropriately adopted. Given the above, this work aims to develop a health application with information about the puerperal period, its content was prepared based on up-to-date scientific knowledge, in order to provide a material whose content is safe to discuss topics relevant to this phase. This is a methodological study involving 40 participants, including 10 professionals from the obstetric health area, 10 from the technology area and 20 postpartum women. The application was developed with React Native technology, health participants evaluated the application's content, the result of which was given by the Content Validity Index, technology professionals answered the questionnaire validated for the appearance of the software and the mothers answered the System Usability Scale, evaluating the usability of the app and the user experience quiz. It is expected with this research that the application is validated for use by postpartum women, making them feel safer and can have a positive impact to improve satisfaction and quality of life as well as minimize anxiety about the subject that involves the puerperium. It is still expected that women can clarify doubts and are more aware of the signs and symptoms that mark this period and seek assistance with signs/symptoms that are abnormal.
